I had the absolute best audition at the Irish Repertory Theatre. I wondered if waiting two and a half hours before going in was worth it. But it was. The theatre’s two founders welcomed me with humor and admiration. After I performed my monologue from Good People, Irish Rep founder Charlotte Moore said to me, “Phyllis, where have you been all this time?”

I had a great audition for Mrs. White in Clue (regional production in Hilton Head, SC). I mined the sides for comedic moments, coached with Amber Crawford (NY Actor Self Tapes), and delivered the goods.

I had an absolutely fantastic audition for the legendary producer of Shear Madness, Bruce Jordan, at Equity. I auditioned for the show a decade ago in Boston and it was better this time. The vibe in the room was wonderful and I left walking on comedy air.
