About Me

I’m an Award winning SAG-AFTRA character actress and comedian with an excellent ear for languages and a growing network resume (CBS, Showtime, NBC Peacock, Hallmark).

I’m known to play unpolished outsiders with a no nonsense commanding presence, deadpan delivery and an understated crazy twist.

Comedy is my wheelhouse. I played Eileen opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the A24 film “You Hurt My Feelings”. I appeared as a wacky, chainsaw welding studio exec in a sketch with Ziwe on her Showtime variety show. I perform Standup Comedy in NYC.

Languages and dialects are my thing. I was nominated for a Broadway World Best Actress Award for my work as the unhinged Gerda Cristow in Agatha Christie’s “The Hollow”. I played the wacky prude Bernadette in the play “Knock”, entirely in French. And I portrayed the keening Fiona Finn in the improvised Off Broadway show Flanagan’s Wake.

I create and perform Solo Shows. “Phyllis Diller Believes in Me” tells the story of the legend Phyllis Diller visiting me after I bomb at a comedy club. “Em-PATHETIC” is the story of my search for empathy in the healthcare industry. It won Best Short Solo Show at the Marsh International Solo Festival.

“Phyllis Gordon weaves her way through with marvelously cavalier brio…She’s irrepressible.”
